Enhancing Relations and developing better understanding between young professionals of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Germany

On, 15 to 19 September 2014, Dr. Wadir Safi, Vice President/AJO at Afghanistan Justice Organization participated in the ‘4th Trilateral Summer School On Enhancing Relations and developing better understanding between young professionals of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Germany Organized by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) held in Berlin, Germany.

The summer school debated a series of issues regarding India’s elections and the Modi government: Impact on Afghanistan and Pakistan, Iranian policy towards Afghanistan and Pakistan under Rohani, German policy towards South Asia post-2014 – Germany’s role in the peace process, Afghanistan’s 2014 presidential elections – the first democratic handover in the country’s history?, Creating an economic perspective for Afghanistan – wishful thinking or real option, Pakistan one year after the elections – an early assessment of Nawaz Sharif’s third tenure, and Pakistan’s socio-economic situation: The millennium development goals.  Dr. Safi was a discussant in first session and also participated in group discussions in different panels. The summer school participants also developed agenda for TSS 2015.
